I practically subsisted on Orange Julius nearly 60yrs ago! It was delicious, as were the chili-cheese hot dogs. I distinctly remember the orange juice was always fresh-squeezed, the proprietary powder was a cream-white color, while the raw egg was only added on request, at additional cost. It made the drink extra creamy and tasty.

In a saucepan, add the ground beef and beef broth. Mash, using a potato masher to break the beef up. Continue to cook. Add the rest of the ingredients to the saucepan. My mother took me to Orange Julius every other weekend in Newburgh, NY back in 81-84. I always got a smoothie and a hot dog called the "St. Louis" I think! It was cheese, mustard and bacon bits. I loved it. I'm vegan now and I just made it with Wholefoods 365 Veggie dog, Chao Cheese Slices, Veggie bacon bits and yellow mustard on a potato roll.
