To make your icing, in a medium bowl beat together the 1 cup butter and vanilla on medium speed until well combined. Add powdered sugar and milk in batches {see full recipe below} and mix at low speed until well combined. Separate icing into two bowls; add blue food coloring to one. Add pink food coloring to the other.
