This Czech goulash recipe probably dates back to the dawn of time, yet paprika, made from pepper, appeared in Europe in the seventeenth century. Since then, the recipe probably hasn't changed much, just like all the great traditional dishes. The Czechs accompany goulash with knedliky or knödel.
