Vernon bought me this Can Cooker last year, and I've used it a few times this summer. It's great for making a large meal. I'd always heard about the old-timers using a real cream can to do this in, but all our cream cans got burned up in a shop fire we had 27 years ago!

Combine soup, lemon juice, or wine in a bowl. Layer the chicken parts in the baking pan. Pour soup mixture over top. Sprinkle Parmesan, salt, and pepper over top. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Remove foil and continue to bake for 15 minutes to get the top a little golden brown.

After removing onion skins, cut remaining onion into quarter. Line bottom of a 10 gallon cream can with a few husks of corn. Stand as many ears of corn vertical in the can as it will allow. Top with cabbage that has been quartered. Put in carrots followed by potatoes and then onions. Next put in 30 brats - you may need to 'stuff' some of these in.

Put the cream can on the fire. Note - make sure that food is not blocking the steam hole on the top of the cream can. It will probably take 30-45 mins to work up steam from the top of the can, but when you see steam coming from the top of the can, let it cook for 30 minutes. After 30 mins, turn off the heat and let the can sit for 5 minutes.

2 Cans of Corn or 1lb Frozen Corn. 3 cloves of Garlic. 1/2 Large Onion Chopped. 2lb Smoked Beef Sausage (I prefer Hillshire Farms brand) 6 Med Potatoes Chopped. Salt and Pepper to taste. Mince Garlic. Chop potatoes, onion and sausage into large pieces. Combine all the ingredients in your Crockpot, and set cook time.

directions. Layer potatoes, onions, carrots, cabbage, corn and sausages in the cream can in the order listed. Pour in the cans of beer and season with salt and pepper. (Can also add garlic, Montreal Steak seasoning, or whatever other seasonings you prefer.). Cover and bring to a boil.
