clarence - thanks for posting those!!! just like you said, open matte/crop mix, but very well composed which makes me think he shot it to protect open-matte (nothing ever looked cut off or crowded). it's amazing how much better it looks than the dvd, which actually looked better than the upconvert they used to show! last night i finished watching Kill Bill 2, and i'm still just blown away by.
