Alfama, Lisbon. Alfama is Lisbon's oldest neighborhood, and possibly, its most lived-in neighborhood. Situated on a hillside that faces south, Alfama extends from the Castelo de São Jorge on the hilltop down to the cruise terminal and the bank of the Tejo River.
